Michael Buble, born September 9, 1975 in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a Canadian soul and jazz singer of Italian origin. Michael Buble immersed in the music world through his grandfather, in other words he inherited his love of jazz from his grandfather, and became famous in no time. He always stresses the importance of his grandfather in developing his musical tastes. In a recent interview Michael was quoted as saying; “My grandfather really was my best friend, it was he who opened the world of jazz music that seems to be disappearing in my generation. Although I like rock and roll and grew up listening to modern music but the first time my grandfather made me listen to The Mills Brothers, something magical happened. The lyrics were so romantic, so real as if the song was made for me. It was like seeing my future as a flash. I wanted to be a singer and I knew it was the music that I wanted to sing.
After winning the Best New Talent JUNO Award in 2004, Michael Buble became a rage in no time and topped the musical charts worldwide. It debuted on seventh place in the United Kingdom and second in Australia. This Canadian jazz whiz has so far sold over ten million records worldwide, and has won many other awards and accolades including two times nomination for Grammy Awards.
In 2003, Michael Buble released his debut album, modestly titled Michael Buble, in which he interprets Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and George Michael. He then went on a world tour that brought him to perform before the Britains Royal family. He soon found himself on the Canadian album charts. Its success extended to the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States. The album is now certified platinum and is among the ten best albums on the charts in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Michael Buble has also appeared in several movies in recent years, particularly in the role of karaoke singer in Duets alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis, but also in many soundtracks such as Totally Blonde
